The Special Transport DLC by SCS Software requires some new route information in the map files. Starting with ProMods 2.26 we will be adding support for this DLC.
The special routes that we are enabling in ProMods 2.26 are:
- Reims (FR) – Strasbourg (FR)
- Nantes (FR) – Civaux (FR)
- Birmingham (UK) – Sheffield (UK)
- Stavanger (NO) – Oslo (NO)
We are planning to add more routes in future versions as well. Keep in mind, the Special Transport DLC is completely optional, so don’t worry if you don’t have it yet!
As with every release, we are fixing several bugs found in the previous version. And in addition, we also tweaked a few roads and cities. The Italy DLC is still optional for using ProMods, but will become a requirement for our 2.30 version.
Reminder: This is a full map release. After installing this version, make sure to delete your previous ProMods version. To reiterate, the Special Transport and Italia DLCs are compatible but not required.
Shortly after the official release of Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.30 we can provide you with the compatibility updates of our mods: Cabin Accessory Pack, Trailer & Company Pack and of course the ProMods Map itself.
We also prepared the map to be compatible with the upcoming Italy DLC by SCS. By removing the colliding parts of our version of Italy, you can use this ProMods version with and without the Italy DLC. If you own garages in Genova, Parma, Vicenza, Modena, Bologna, Firenze and Livorno, please sell them before updating ProMods to avoid crashing your profile. Trieste will still be included in this version.
For this release we had to manually replace over 4000 traffic signs as some new traffic rules were implemented. Each country should now have the highway traffic rule signs for the highways (if any), and the standard traffic rule version for other roads of each country.
But we also improved some parts of the map in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and also rebuilt Scottish motorways like the A90. In exchange for the removed parts in Italy, we added new cities Drammen (NO), Lacq (FR), Orléans (FR) and Ullapool (UK). The cities Reims (FR) and Aberdeen (UK) have been rebuilt for this version.
This is a full map release. So after updating the files in your mod folder, ensure to delete our previous ProMods map files. The Italy DLC is compatible but not required.

The long wait is finally over, the next mega update from us is here! With 65 new cities and 3 new countries this is another huge release and it will bring you hundreds of hours of game time. In this version you will notice a lot of changes during your jobs all across Europe, because not only did we expand the map on its frontiers, we also added and enhanced cities and landscapes in many other places.
We added three new countries for you to visit: Croatia, Serbia and Ireland. Of course with their very own look and atmosphere – including their own police cars. And if you love going north, take a sightseeing trip all the way up to North Cape!
Many changes and additions were also made for the various companies and cargos. We added several missing company skins for the trailers – including the Schwarzmüller DLC. And if you love to haul double trailers, we enabled them in the job markets of Germany, Finland, Spain and the Netherlands.
This is a full map release. So after updating the files in your mod folder, ensure to delete our previous ProMods map files.

We are trying a new way of releasing quick, snappy, fixes to common problems that are discovered in the release and that have not been noticed during beta-testing.
Because of the size of our mod it is a very complicated process to release updates quickly, and we also do not want to force people to obtain updates all too frequently.
So we are now trying a new way of fixing these issues with a rapid deployment hotfix system.
The way it works is the following:
Problems that are reported on our forums are repaired within a matter of days, the hotfix gets updated and is then released when a large number of issues are solved. It does not make sense to release updates for 1 or 2 issues, nor does it make sense to release a hotfix every other day. But at least this way we are able to tackle most critical problems rather quickly without forcing users to download 1.5GB of data on a regular basis.
When a critical number of hotfixes is reached, a minor patch will be released for the game, for instance 2.16 to 2.17.
Small glitches like grass on the road or a misplaced sign are not worth hotfixing and they will be updated for future major releases (2.20, and so forth).
We have received a lot of criticism and many insults from users who believe that we should check every nook and cranny of the map before releasing an update.
The reality is that this is not possible because of the size of the map. Even if we had a team of 500 beta-testers there would still be small issues that would not be discovered during our testing phases. Every map mod that currently exists has flaws in places, and even the official SCS DLC’s have issues despite being rigorously tested for months. On a relative scale ProMods has very few issues measuring the size that the map mod stretches.
Then there is also the issue that sometimes problems occur in areas of the map that are unchanged. For instance the “sinkhole” prefab on the E4 motorway near Stockholm was never tested because nothing in this area had changed in the update. What happened was that one of the prefabs got corrupted during conversion from game version 1.26 to 1.27, and it was not noticed because there was no reason to suspect that. A similar thing happened with the snow spray roads in Romania. Issues like the aforementioned can now be resolved in the hotfixes.
Since update 1.27 there are several places on the map where AI cars are disappearing in areas where 5 lane roads have been used. This is caused by a change in the code of the game by SCS and we are currently not able to fix this problem without their help. So you will have to endure seeing cars disappear in these areas unfortunately.
Because the hotfixes are largely untested they are issued on a “use at your own risk” basis. This means that we only recommend our advanced (and most critical) users to use these hotfixes.
For all other users we recommend waiting until the next stable release of ProMods is announced.
It is also important to note, that when you report a bug on the forums you make us aware which hotfix you are using.
When using the hotfix please make it the highest priority, (above all other mods in the mod manager), or it will not work.
You can provide feedback on this new method on our forum.
You can find the latest hotfix updates in this thread on the forum as well.
We are working hard towards ProMods 2.20 which will once again introduce a wide variety of new landscapes and infrastructure into the mod. However, complications due to the situation in Poland mean that its release is some way off yet.
In the meantime, this compatibility update is necessary for the current ProMods map to work with Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.27. It requires all three map DLCs: “Going East!”, “Scandinavia”, and “Vive la France !”. There will be no future versions of the mod that do not require all of these DLCs.
Over 10,000 of our models have been converted to the new format required for ETS2 1.27. Fortunately most of this could be done in batches, but some models required greater attention. At the same time, we are reviewing the models from Poland Rebuilding, some of which are rarely used and poorly optimised so can be removed or replaced. This process will take much longer to complete, but should improve the efficiency of our mod over time.
2.16 also showcases the first of many improvements to the map in Poland. You can enjoy a rebuilt Siedlce and various overhauls of interchanges and delivery points elsewhere.
Furthermore, we highlight some of the smaller bonus changes. We have several rebuilding projects, but as modding techniques progress some improvements can be implemented earlier, before the full rebuild. These “lite” rebuilds generally get rid of pet peeves (like single-lane highway interchanges or old signs and terrain textures) and can be done in a short amount of time. A demonstration of this can be found in Luxembourg and around Prague in the Czech Republic, where 6 single-lane interchanges have been replaced.
You’ll find more tasters of 2.20 in other countries: two roads were extended in Italy, while in France Cherbourg has returned to the mod and Metz has been rebuilt – both with many assets from the “Vive la France !” DLC to fit in with the surrounding mapping style. And as optimisation techniques improve, parts of Manresa and Barcelona have been overhauled to improve performance. Without a complete rebuild these older areas of Spain will never perform as well as those coming in 2.20 and beyond, but we continue to do what we can to reduce lagging.
Finally, thanks to some excellent teamwork we are proud to include AI police cars for all countries introduced by ProMods to complement those added by SCS in ETS2 1.27 for all vanilla countries. This was only possible with Jazzycat’s permission for us to use some of his vehicles, and PirriAND’s permission for us to use his skin for the Andorran police car. Our special thanks go out to them.
We have also released compatibility updates for the ProMods Add-ons “Trailer & Company Pack” and “Cabin Accessories Pack” a few days earlier. Both updates are pure compatibility patches without any new content.
With the recent update of Euro Truck Simulator 2 to 1.26 and the release of “Vive la France !” DLC, we had to release a compatibility update of our map. But we know that many people won’t buy the DLC in the early days, so we have built two ProMods versions:
- Version 2.12 for ETS2 1.26, with no requirement for “Vive la France” DLC
- Version 2.15 for ETS2 1.26, but “Vive la France” DLC is a requirement
While version 2.15 features all of SCS’s new map content, including rebuilt Paris, our 2.12 version is simply an updated version of 2.11, which means you should expect the old version of Paris and France.
So you can continue to enjoy ProMods with the current ETS2 version, independently when you plan to get your copy of “Vive la France !” DLC. But keep in mind, that all future versions of ProMods will require all three map DLC – including “Vive la France !”.
The long wait is over! Our Trailer & Company pack is now compatible with Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.26 and ready for download. All trailers support advanced coupling and we added the ProMods paint job for the Krone Profiliner as an optional livery. Unfortunately, we lost permission to include the Huttner log trailer, so this has been removed from the pack.
The Trailer & Company Pack 1.12 is also compatible with the new “Vive la France !” DLC, but we didn’t edit any of its new companies yet. This is our task for an upcoming major update to our pack!
With our ProMods Trailer & Company Pack already in full swing, we couldn’t help but notice that upon the release of the Cabin Accessories DLC from SCS, we could create a new extension with that DLC. As it offers more options to customise the interior of one’s truck, we felt like it was an important addon which helps develop a realism for the game, as well as another chance of making trucks more special and unique. However, the options didn’t seem so plentiful, and that’s where the Cabin Accessories Pack from ProMods comes into play. Founded by tkk7406, and with a generous amount of help from LoaderSaints, this mod aims to make the best out of the DLC, by adding more and more options, as well as introducing new items an average trucker would have in a cabin, such as air fresheners, different interior trims, more GPS systems and so on.
This mod, like everything else at ProMods, isn’t going to stop just here, as the future versions promise more and more items, with more and more options. Our initial release covers most of the standard items provided by SCS, including over 50 cups, over 60 pennants, 3 dice and a curtain to choose from. From there on, we will try to develop more items, add more variants, and get some inspirations from your ideas. Yes, this is one mod where you can let us know what you’d like to see. You may post your ideas in our development topic and if it can be done, it will eventually be done.
Obviously, in order to run this mod, you must purchase the Cabin Accessories DLC by SCS, as it uses and adds variants from items in the DLC. As for the priority in the mod manager, the mod should be placed above any truck or cabin accessory mod in order to fully function properly.
Thank you for your attention and enjoy the mod!
The changes in the latest game update to Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.25 require a compatibility update of ProMods. We’re proud to provide you ProMods 2.11 only a few days after the release of the game update:
ProMods 2.11 is just a compatibility update for ETS2 1.25 and contains no new areas. In addition to the bugfixes included in this version, we enhanced the licence plates for some countries:

- Three brand new countries to explore.
- Rebuilds of major cities such as København, Nürnberg and Brussel/Bruxelles.
