ProMods Europe: Subotica Returns

With ProMods Europe 2.80 being prepared for, we’re excited to share the return of a familiar location to the Balkans: Subotica, Serbia: now refreshed and rebuilt for the modern ProMods standard.

Subotica is a historic city located in northern Serbia, near the Hungarian border. Known for its distinctive architecture, wide roads, and multicultural character, the city has long been an important regional hub for trade and transport. Its location makes it a natural stop for international routes between Central Europe and the Balkans — and a perfect fit for ProMods.

A Fresh Return

Some of you may remember that Subotica previously existed in ProMods, but it took a break from ProMods Europe following the release of SCS Software’s West Balkans DLC. At the time, the official expansion reshaped large parts of the surrounding region, and removing Subotica allowed us to avoid conflicts while we reassessed how to best integrate it again.

Now, with the surrounding network properly established, we’ve been able to bring Subotica back with a full reskin and layout refresh, ensuring it matches both modern ProMods quality and the current SCS road network.

The Highway Connection

Alongside the city refresh, a small but important section of the E75 / A1 motorway leading into Subotica has also been included. This stretch improves connectivity to the city and better reflects real-world access from Serbia’s main north–south corridor, strengthening Subotica’s role as a regional transport hub.

Subotica’s return is another step in our ongoing efforts to refresh older regions and ensure ProMods continues to blend seamlessly with official DLC content. We’re looking forward to welcoming drivers back to one of Serbia’s most characterful cities in ProMods 2.80.

ProMods Europe: A5 & S61 Highway Gameplay Preview

We’ve got another gameplay preview coming your way today; this time featuring a small section of the A5 in Lithuania and a large newly refreshed stretch of the S61 in Poland. These roads form an important north–south corridor in Eastern Europe, and we’re excited to finally show you what’s coming.

At 4pm UTC Today (7th of December), we’ll preview some of our latest work on Europe!

The A5 may only be a small section in this preview, but it plays an important role in linking the Baltic road network together. This stretch has received refreshed road geometry, updated surroundings, improved signage, and smoother transitions that better reflect the real-world route.

The S61 is the star of today’s preview; This major Polish expressway has been receiving a large-scale refresh, and the gameplay footage shows off long, open highway driving, modern interchanges, and updated roadside detail.

As one of Poland & the Baltic’s key transport corridors, the S61 rebuild brings it in line with newer parts of the ProMods map, offering a much smoother, more immersive experience for long-distance hauls.

ProMods TGS: Western Kazakhstan Refresh Trailer

Our next update for ProMods: The Great Steppe is getting close, and today we’re excited to share a brand-new preview trailer showcasing several refreshed regions across Kazakhstan and an important refresh in Russia. This update focuses heavily on bringing older areas up to our modern quality standards, improving both realism and driving flow throughout the western part of the map.

Refreshing Western Kazakhstan

Our latest refresh focuses on a stretch of western Kazakhstan, bringing new life to the towns of Kandyagash, Temir, Shubarkuduk, and Mukur.

These areas have received extensive updates to layouts, terrain, scenery, and distant landscapes, replacing much of the older legacy mapping with higher-quality, modern standards. The goal was not only to improve visual accuracy, but to better capture the distinct atmosphere of Kazakhstan’s western regions; from wide, open steppe roads to rugged industrial outskirts and village-style settlements. This refresh forms a major step forward in tying the region together with a consistent, authentic feel.

Ershov: A Fresh Look

Across the border in Russia, the town of Ershov has also undergone a transformation. The mapping has been rebuilt with improved road geometry, updated signage, refreshed vegetation, and more detailed settlement features that align with the region’s real-world character. This update brings Ershov closer to the quality level of our newest TGS content and ensures a smoother, more immersive drive as you transition between Russia and Kazakhstan.

ProMods Trailer & Company Pack: Italia Trailer

SCS Software have released the latest round of updates for Euro Truck Simulator 2, and American Truck Simulator. Which means we are all hands on deck to releasing the next wave of updates for ProMods!

We’re excited to share a look at one of the most important additions to the much-loved TCP pack: a full expansion of Italy’s company and navigation signage. You’ll find a trailer at the top of this post showing just a fraction of what’s been added to the next update of The Trailer & Companies Pack.

The Trailer and Company Pack is all about enhancing immersion by replacing fictional in-game brands with realistic, region-appropriate counterparts. This time, we’ve focused heavily on Italy; one of the few remaining areas where many companies still used generic SCS assets. Thanks to extensive community input and a lot of research, that’s about to change.

As some of you may have followed in our long-running TCP development thread, the Italian overhaul began with gathering suggestions from players who know the region far better than we do. After compiling those recommendations, the next step was digging through each company to understand what they produce, how they operate, and what their branding looks like in the real world. That research forms the basis for the signage and logo work that makes TCP unique.

Once the branding is established, the real task begins: translating it into game-ready assets. All signage work is done in Blender, starting with a master file containing every relevant model pulled from SCS’ original game assets. Navigation signs are typically the easiest to work with: they mostly require new DDS textures and careful UV adjustments to ensure arrows, icons, and chevrons align with the new logo placements.

Building signage, however, is on a completely different level. Many Italian depots use complex sign models featuring 3D lettering, unique shapes, or layered materials that don’t naturally align with the designs of real companies. On top of that, SCS’ prefab placement of sign nodes can be very restrictive. Each replacement must be adapted precisely; not only matching the company’s visual identity, but also fitting cleanly into the existing geometry without clipping or distortion. It’s a slow, meticulous process… but the results speak for themselves.

With v1.57, Italy takes a big step forward in authenticity. From roadside guidance signs to full company branding on prefabs, the region now feels far more grounded and recognizable; especially to players familiar with the real locations.

We hope you enjoy this preview and look forward to delivering the full update very soon. Keep an eye out for the release announcement, and as always, thank you to everyone who contributed knowledge, photos, and suggestions to help make this expansion possible.
