ProMods Europe: v2.84

ProMods Europe v2.84 is out today, and it’s one of our most wide-reaching updates in a while.*
From the fjords of Norway to the motorways of Romania, this release touches multiple countries and brings a mix of new additions, merges, and long-overdue reworks. Here’s what’s waiting for you.

*We are aware that the Trailer and Company Pack is currently shipped with some bugs. We have not announced the release as we are pending a hotfix.

Through Scandinavia

by Fynn & hazelmizu.
The Nordic Horizons area continues to grow. In Finland, both Kittilä and Savonlinna have been fully merged into the Nordic Horizons map area, bringing two beloved ProMods locations back into the fold and up to current standards.

Crossing into Denmark, Rødbyhavn has been rebuilt, and the island of Læsø has also been rebuilt. They both remain one of the most strategically important ferry connections on the ProMods map, linking Scandinavia to mainland Europe, and it now looks the part.

In Norway, Kongsvinger and Molde have been properly defined and activated, giving two previously scenery-only towns their own identity and deliverable companies for the first time.

Central European Highways

by MandelSoft, Fynn, hazelmizu & scan720.
Significant work has gone into the road network across Poland and Germany in this update… In Poland, the S3 expressway between Jordanowo on the A2 and Legnica on the A4 has been rebuilt from the ground up by hazelmizu and scan720.. This section has been a single-lane country road in ProMods since 2012, unchanged from its original SCS mapping despite the real-world road long since being upgraded to a full dual-carriageway expressway. That changes today, with accurate intersections, modern signage, and environments faithfully recreated throughout.

In Germany, the BAB5 between Karlsruhe and Mulhouse has been rebuilt, bringing one of the country’s key north-south corridors up to the standard it deserves. In addition, petrol stations across the BAB1, BAB2, BAB5, and BAB8 networks have been reworked.

The Great Romanian Road Trip

by Mirfi.
Mirfi has been busy, and it shows. This update brings a substantial expansion to Romania, with four new road additions across the country! Something that our marketing guy is calling “The Great Romanian Road Trip”!

The A1 between Margina and Holdea, the A3/A7 corridor between Bucharest and Bacău, the DN23/DN25 between Focșani and Galați, and the north-east section of the A0 Bucharest ring road are all in, significantly expanding the road network and making Romania a much richer destination for long-distance routing.

Out Now!

The best part of all of this? It’s out NOW! We are so glad to give v2.84 to you, and we hope you enjoy!

ProMods Europe: S3 Gameplay Preview

Earlier today, we posted something to our YouTube Channel… The S3 is an expressway running through the western half of Poland.. When the road was first added to ETS2 by SCS back in 2012, this section between the A2 and A4 was a simple country lane; and until now, that’s exactly how it had remained in ProMods.

With the real-world road long since upgraded to a full expressway, it was well overdue the same treatment here.

Built from the Ground Up

The S3 has been completely rebuilt, with intersections, signage, and environments faithfully recreated throughout. The complex A4xS3 interchange and the Zielona Góra intersection are particular highlights; designed to deliver a modern, immersive experience on the road, and built with room for potential future expansion into the surrounding areas.

The best news about all of this? It’s coming with our next ProMods Release! We’ve started testing for ProMods v2.84, and can’t wait to show you more!

ProMods The Great Steppe v1.7.0: Further into Turkmenistan

Now that we’ve set foot in Turkmenistan for the first time in our most recent edition of The Great Steppe, we’ve been working hard; and we’re ready to show you what’s coming next. Version v1.7.0 takes us further into this remote and fascinating corner of Central Asia, with new locations, infrastructure, and a refresh to an area you may already know.

Gyýanly

Located just outside Turkmenbasy, Gyýanly is a sparsely populated town shaped almost entirely by the oil and gas industry. We’ve taken some special focus on attention to detail through this one. See if you can spot some of the details we’re keen on adding.

And that’s not it! This is an important hub for supplying the region’s population, but it’s also a place to pause; stop by the local mechanic, fill up your tank, or simply take a break before pushing on through the desert.

Garabogaz Bay

Travelling between Garabogaz and Gyýanly, you’ll cross the Garabogaz Bay Bridge; a structure that has recently been completely rebuilt and expanded in real life.

The remains of the old bridge are still visible alongside it, and as you continue through the desert, you’ll notice that a great deal of infrastructure work is currently underway across the stretch between Turkmenbasy and the Kazakh border.

Garabogaz Refresh

Getting accurate reference material from a region like this is no small challenge; but some time ago, we made a breakthrough and came across a wealth of new, up-to-date material from Garabogaz.

With v1.7.0, we’re beginning to bring the city itself and the route to the border up to current standards, working towards the most authentic experience we can deliver.
There’s more still to share about v1.7.0, and we look forward to telling you more soon. As always, we thank you for your continued support.

ProMods: 13 Years Celebrations Recap

Yeah, it’s been a month since our last post. No, it’s not because we’ve been slacking. But it’s because we’ve been celebrating. 13 Years of ProMods is a big one, and we wanted to give it a special touch. And don’t worry, it’s given us some extra motivation to make this update something really special.

From giveaways to videos to celebrations to a really really questionable livestream. We had it all.
Check out what we got up to.

The Celebration

The initial celebration came easy. We showcased, on our last blog post, some our favorites. from the past 13 years.
The trailer was just the start. There was plenty more to come, and we had to make it really feel like something more than a Celebration.

Discord Giveaways!

Our discord Erupted over the weekend of the moment! With thanks to SCS Software, we were able to giveaway a number of SCS DLC, straight from us to you, as a sheer thank you for your intense and ongoing support.

Nine winners just from our discord server alone! And it was the start of celebrations that were ever-lasting!

Social Media Giveaways!

Our social media has never seen so much activity. Over ten thousand ProFans celebrated the moment over our Social Meida campaign for our birthday. That’s more population than a small country!

It’s exactly this kind of support that means the world to us. And with special thanks to SCS Software again, we were able to really help people out, hosting three major giveaways from us, to you!

The Twitch Stream…

Our twitch stream. Maybe one of the most chaotic ones yet!
WIth exclusive previews on whats to come from the future of ProMods, all the way through to honestly, Driving that should never be re-streamed or put on anyone’s devices, and the upmost of Professional Jokes, we really did it all.

We also had our work cut out for us! Our friends at StreamFlux gave us a hand with our Production, for any nerds around, check out some of the BTS below!

Thirteen years of ProMods Europe. Couldn’t have done it better. Sorry for the late blog post. Marketing took some time off.
