ProMods Winter Convoy: Recap

On December 7th, we gathered once again for a special ProMods Community Convoy; this time taking players across our recently developed Vancouver Island in ProMods Canada. Starting in Kamloops, one of the oldest and most iconic cities in the project, we made our way south through the Lower Mainland, crossed via Victoria, and continued all the way to Port Hardy, one of the newest additions to the map.

For many players, especially those on TruckersMP, this convoy offered a rare chance to drive alongside several members of the ProMods Team; a great opportunity to enjoy the roads together, answer questions, and celebrate the release of new areas. Additionally, plenty of fun was had on Twitch & YouTube!

Straight from the Community!

The turnout was fantastic: we saw around 100 participants joining the drive, including drivers from multiple VTCs across the TruckersMP community including Prime Logistics, Pink Ribbon VTC, NOWT, and Global Cargo. From long-established companies to smaller groups bringing their members along for a relaxed evening drive, it was a diverse and lively gathering of players who share a passion for trucking and modding.

The roads were busy, lively, and full of holiday cheer; exactly the kind of community spirit we love to see during events like this!

A Magical Crossing Over the Strait of Georgia

Running a community convoy through a ferry terminal has the potential to turn into absolute chaos, even with careful planning. So instead of risking a multi-hour queue or a floating traffic jam, we decided to do something a little more creative:
A completely fictional, magical scenic road crossing the Strait of Georgia; built solely for this event.

This temporary route allowed the convoy to stay together and maintain smooth flow, while still offering a beautiful, atmospheric coastal drive inspired by the region. And judging by the reactions and events, it was a memorable highlight!

Convoy Control & Event Support

This event also marked the first major outing for our new Event Manager, Jess, who did an outstanding job coordinating the route, timing, and structure of the convoy.!
Additional congratulations are needed for Ghost, who helped as part of our Media Team for this event!

Huge thanks as well to our partners at TruckersMP, whose experienced Convoy Control team handled traffic management and ensured the event ran as smoothly as possible from start to finish!

A huge thank-you to everyone who participated, shared photos, streamed the event, or just hung out with us along the route. We’re looking forward to running more in the future, especially as ProMods continues to grow.
