ProMods Canada 1.1.0 is Available

ProMods Canada 1.1.0 is now available, bringing compatibility with American Truck Simulator 1.42 and a collection of new cities to explore.

Version 1.1.0 of ProMods Canada primarily focuses on adding a connection from Vancouver to Kamloops via the BC-99, but the update also brings a number of dirt tracks and service roads through beautiful mountain passes as well as adding the container port at Delta and a new connection in Surrey over the Patullo Bridge. We’ve also taken care to ensure that environment sounds are present throughout the ProMods Canada map.

For a more detailed look at what the new update brings, check out our previous blog post, ProMods Canada: Version 1.1.0 – What’s new?

ProMods Canada: Version 1.1.0 – What’s new?

It’s been 10 months since the first version of ProMods Canada released and while it’s taken longer than expected, the next content update for ProMods Canada is almost Ready.

What does the update contain?

Version 1.1.0 of ProMods Canada primarily focuses on adding a connection from Vancouver to Kamloops Via the BC-99. Along the route you’ll experience the stunning coastal and mountain views of the Sea to Sky Highway between Vancouver and Pemberton, passing Squamish and Whistler along the way.

Leaving Pemberton the route follows the path of the Lillooet River before climbing to pass Duffey Lake, winding through the mountain valley and heading into Lillooet

Once through Lillooet the BC-99 follows the Fraser River to the settlement of Pavilion where it breaks away to pass Pavilion Lake in the Marble Canyon Provincial Park.

The BC-99’s route concludes just north of Cache Creek at an intersection with the BC-97 which itself heads southwards to end in Cache Creek where it meets the TCH-1

Finally, the TCH-1 continues east of Cache Creek, through unusually desertic environments before reaching the interchange with the BC-5 near Kamloops.

But that’s Not all

In addition to the main highways, v1.1.0 will also bring a number of gravel tracks and service roads to reach some of the more remote settlements in the region.

We’ve also included Horseshoe Bay as a city with two companies and while the ferry terminal may not be in use yet, it gives a sneak peak at some potential future updates for ProMods Canada.

There will also be other additions around the map to look out for which we may show in more detail at a later date.

Lytton

As part of version 1.1.0 we had planned to include a connection between Lillooet and Merritt via the town of Lytton. We also wanted to include the TCH-1 between Hope and Cache Creek, also Via Lytton. However as some of you may have seen, on June the 30th, while British Columbia was experiencing a record-breaking heat wave the town of Lytton found itself in the path of an out of control wildfire. With 70km/h winds pushing the fire north at estimated speeds of up to 20km/h, residents had very little time to evacuate the town before 90% of it was catastrophically burned to the ground.

Due to the nature of the event and the effect it had on the population, we have elected to remove Lytton from version 1.1.0. We are considering possible methods to respectfully bring it back in the near future, but for now the town will be omitted from the release.

ProMods Canada: A New Country Has Arrived

It took us a few years, but finally we are here. ProMods’ first official mod for American Truck Simulator, ProMods Canada, has been released. After working hard for the past two years we are proud to present our hard work for everyone to enjoy.

In this first version, players can enjoy the roads of British Columbia. With thirteen new cities and several new roads, we have made a solid start in a project with huge potential for growth. Varying from highways to country roads, villages to cities, and coastlines to mountains, this mod already demonstrates how much Canada’s westernmost province has to offer you.

And not only you, by yourself. No, ProMods Canada has been supported from the first minute on the ATS servers from our dear friends, TruckersMP. We have seen many people explore these new roads, together with their friends. It has even caused queues at the borders, like in real life!

So what is next? Are we done with ATS? Of course not! As with our ETS2 project, we will keep working on the mod. We still have many ideas and plans for the future. Our goal is to keep expanding Canada, towards both the north and the east. If you are interested in these developments, make sure you follow our socials and join the discussion on our forum.

We, the ProMods team, hope you will enjoy our newest creation!

ProMods Canada 1.0 Trailer Skin Pack

Being able to release our first ATS mod is a big milestone for us. So to that end, and just like with ProMods 2.5 for ETS2, our add-on developer tkk7406 has made more trailer skins featuring various locations from our version of Canada. Each trailer length features a unique combination of screenshots, and there is a skin available for all box and tank trailers in-game, so now you can also add a taste of ProMods Canada to your fleet!

Seeing how successful the ProMods 2.5 trailers were, this time we pushed the boat out and collaborated with even more of our promotion partners. As you may have seen from the recent Canada streams and videos, tkk7406 worked with Fox On The Box and Wombat Trucker as well as Clumsy and Squirrel to create dedicated trailer skins for each promoter and their fans to use.

You’ll be able to find all the trailer skins in the Steam Workshop, including the main skin pack, as well as Fox On The Box’s skin, Wombat Trucker’s skin, Clumsy’s skin, and Squirrel’s skin. So don’t miss the chance to spice up your trailers with some celebratory ProMods Canada skins!
