After a lot of time and effort, our map mod and addons are finally ready to be played with Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.32. Those of you who preferred to play with ownable trailers and SCS’s new northern Germany as soon as they were released can now enjoy the 5th anniversary edition of our map.
Each new game version brings different challenges to make our mods compatible. Sometimes it takes just a few days; sometimes, such as in this case, it takes several weeks.
The latest version of ETS2 introduced trailer ownership and accompanying changes to the economy system, so we had to spend a lot of time overhauling all of our companies.
SCS also reworked parts of Germany with their latest update. However, ProMods 2.31 will still include our own version of Germany for compatibility reasons with previous saved games. But work has already started to merge both versions of Germany to get the best of both worlds.
The biggest challenge this time though was the Trailer & Company Pack. On the surface it may seem like not much has changed, but don’t be fooled: trailer ownership and changed economy system meant the addon had to be completely restructured, hence the version number jumping up to 1.20.
With most of the original developers of the TCP being inactive, we reached out to the community for new skin artists. We are hugely grateful to those who came forward and helped complete the work necessary for release. But still, we’re looking for more people who can help with the making of the TCP! If you know how to create high quality textures with Photoshop or some similar software, or if you are familiar with 3D modelling using the SCS Blender Tools, then send LoaderSaints a PM on the forum showing what you are capable of doing. We wish to make some major progress on the TCP again after a while on the backburner – the France and Italy DLC companies still need real-life replacements.
The Cabin Accessories Pack also has been updated to version 1.06. This only is a minor update that fixes a few issues and adds 1.32 compatibility..
