ProMods Canada: Vancouver

No, not Vancouver, WA. We are talking about Vancouver, BC!

With the first version of ProMods Canada our main focus will be on the areas situated close to the west coast. This naturally brings us to the area called the Lower Mainland, in which the regional districts of Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley are situated. The area houses around 2.83 million people making it impossible for us to ignore.

This makes our lives a lot harder as well. With the scale of the game it is impossible for us to include everything. Therefore we have tried to find the right balance between making it feel very big for the player without overdoing it.

Not only the well known city of Vancouver lies in this area, some of British Columbia’s other biggest cities are situated here as well. Therefore we have also added the cities of Surrey and Coquitlam, instead of calling everything Vancouver. Further down the valley we have added the cities of Abbotsford and Hope, with the latter being at the end of the valley, at the start of the amazing Coquihalla highway. Anyways, that might be a topic for a future blog post, let’s get back to big cities:

Due to having these different cities we have been able to create all sorts of sceneries. From huge bridges over big rivers to wide streets between skyscrapers. There is enough to deliver and see just in this portion of the map, without taking the highways into the mountains and further into the British Columbia Interior. So to close this blog post we have some more pictures:

Beta testing for ProMods Canada is now well underway and we’re making good progress towards release every day, make sure to visit the forum topic for updates on our progress and we will be back here soon with another update.

Note: Everything shown is still work in progress and might be subject to change.

I'm into truck simulators for several years now and made some simple mods for "18 Wheels of Steel - Haulin". Besides being a moderator in the forum, I maintain the blog and the social media channels.
