ProMods Canada v1.6.1: Radium & Revelstoke

Development continues across British Columbia as we prepare the next update for ProMods Canada.
This time, we’re returning to two familiar locations; Revelstoke and Radium Hot Springs, bringing new scenery, industry, and natural landmarks to the map.

We are happy to announce that this version is also out now! Download at https://promods.net/

The Columbia Valley

Radium Hot Springs has received significant attention in this update. Known for its dramatic mountain surroundings and its position at the gateway to Kootenay National Park, the town now feels far more alive and connected to its environment.

To the west of Radium, we’ve added the famous Sinclair Canyon, a striking natural landmark where the highway cuts directly between towering red rock cliffs. This narrow canyon pass is one of the most recognizable features of the area, and it creates a unique driving experience as you enter or leave town towards new company locations.

Into The Horsethief Creek

To the east of Radium, drivers will find the start of the Horsethief Creek, leading into dense forestry terrain and marking the entrance to a more rugged, off-highway driving experience. Along the start sits a large custom-built sawmill, designed specifically for ProMods Canada, offering new cargo opportunities and expanding the region’s logging industry.

After passing the new sawmill east of Revelstoke, drivers will cross a rustic steel bridge over the Columbia River, marking the entrance toward Horsethief Creek and the surrounding forestry roads. This area has been carefully recreated to capture the calm yet rugged atmosphere of the region, shallow riverbanks, dense tree lines, and mountain backdrops stretching into the distance. The bridge itself serves as a subtle transition point, guiding players from the industrial sawmill zone into quieter, more remote terrain typical of British Columbia’s interior.

Revelstoke Dam

The Revelstoke Dam, one of British Columbia’s largest hydroelectric facilities, has now been added to the map. Located just north of the city along the Columbia River, this impressive structure is an iconic part of the region’s identity.

Recreating the dam required careful scaling and terrain adjustments to capture its imposing presence while ensuring it fits seamlessly into the game world. Whether you’re passing by on a delivery or simply exploring the area, the dam adds a striking new visual focal point to Revelstoke, and marks a major addition to this phase of work in the city.

ProMods Maghreb: v1.0.0 Trailer

As announced previously, Maghreb Map has officially joined the ProMods family, much like The Great Steppe did before it. Today, we’re excited to share the first full trailer for the very near ProMods Maghreb release. This offers a true look at what you can expect as we prepare the final stages for this map map and integration into our ecosystem.

As detailed in our previous trailers, blog posts, and social media posts, ProMods Maghreb introduces brand-new areas to the ProMods map across Morocco and Tunisia, fully explorable and reachable by ferry. The project works both as a standalone map and in combination with ProMods Europe, allowing players to choose the experience that suits them best. Whether you’re arriving from Algeciras or beyond, this expansion opens the door to a completely new region within ETS2 one filled with atmosphere, cultural variety, and distinct landscapes unlike anything else in the game

A New Continent

This map shines a spotlight on Northern Africa, bringing an entirely different world to life through its roads, cities, industries, deserts, and coastlines. From the stunning approach to Tangier to the arid scenery surrounding Tunis, the Maghreb region offers a depth and diversity that bring new challenges and beauty to driving.

To share the spirit of the original project, here’s an excerpt from the now-archived MaghrebMap website, which has since been donated to ProMods:

“MaghrebMap is your gateway to Africa. MaghrebMap v0.3.3 brings the countries of Morocco, Libya and Tunisia to the world of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and the first steps to a complete Northern Africa! As you explore, you will discover new cities, cultures and the beauty of Northern Africa. Enjoy the coastal views of Tangier in Morocco or the desert scenery of Medinine in Tunisia. Drive the roads of Africa either in Vanilla or with ProMods integration and a wide range of other map mods that work alongside, tested by our Beta Testers!”

Our first release with ProMods focuses on Morocco and Tunisia; refreshed and upgraded; prepared to meet our standards, with more to come in the future.

Stay tuned for for our next announcements, the release is not far at all!
The work on Maghreb has been progressing steadily behind the scenes, and we’re looking forward to giving you a chance to explore these regions very soon.

ProMods The Great Steppe: Into Turkmenistan

As some attentive members of our Discord community may have already noticed, our developer Fynn has been working on a brand-new region for ProMods: The Great Steppe. Today, we’re excited to officially announce that Turkmenistan will be explorable in the upcoming ProMods TGS 1.6.0 update.

Located in Central Asia along the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea, Turkmenistan borders Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to the north, Afghanistan to the southeast, and Iran to the south. The country is known for its unique contrasts; from vast desert landscapes to highly controlled urban environments; and most famously, its white-marble capital, Ashgabat.

Entering Turkmenistan

In the first release, players will enter Turkmenistan via the Temir-Baba border crossing, travelling over the narrow headland of Garabogazköl. This route leads directly into the city of Garabogaz, offering a striking introduction to the country; one that stands in sharp contrast to the grandeur often associated with its capital.

Garabogaz: A City of Contrasts

Garabogaz is defined by its soviet-era prefabricated apartment blocks, aging infrastructure, and industrial surroundings. Players will be able to drive through the city centre to access their garage or workshop, experiencing a more grounded and utilitarian side of Turkmenistan.

Coastlines and Atmosphere

Not everything in Garabogaz is industrial. If you take a moment to explore, you’ll also find yourself alongside the Caspian Sea coastline, where the scenery and atmosphere shift dramatically. Whether it’s the weather, the open views, or the isolation, this part of the map offers a very different driving experience.

Garabogaz: A City of Contrasts

To support gameplay and immersion, Turkmenistan comes with a set of custom companies, allowing drivers to deliver and transport goods that reflect the region’s economy. These industries help bring life to the country and give purpose to its road network within The Great Steppe.

This is just the beginning of Turkmenistan’s journey in ProMods: The Great Steppe. More locations, refinements, and expansions are already planned for future updates; but for now, we’re excited to let you take your first steps into one of Central Asia’s most intriguing countries!

ProMods Europe: v2.80 Trailer

Our latest ProMods Europe trailer is now live! We’d like to give you an overview of what’s coming in the next update. This release brings a wide range of improvements across Europe; from major road reworks and returning cities, to integrations with newly released DLC and community-driven additions.

With this update, the Nordic Horizons DLC is now a required dependency for ProMods Europe.

Purchase this here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2780810/Euro_Truck_Simulator_2__Nordic_Horizons/

Update Overview

France sees some of the most substantial changes in this update. Major routes have been refreshed or rebuilt, including the A55 / N568 connection between Marseille and Montpellier, the final stage of the A36 rebuild, and Paris Part 2, which covers the A3 and Bercy area. The city of Tours also officially joins ProMods following its map mod merge, bringing additional depth to central France.

Elsewhere, road networks continue to expand and improve. In Lithuania, the A5 and KK141 extension adds new connectivity, while Poland’s S61 has received a major refresh led by Horizon and Dawid.
The UK gains further detail with new content around Bodmin and an extension of the A30.

In Serbia, the city of Subotica makes its return to ProMods, fully reskinned and reintroduced after its absence following the West Balkans DLC.
Across Scandinavia, large-scale refreshes from SCS bring older areas up to modern standards, which we now support, alongside full integration with the Nordic Horizons DLC.

ProMods v2.80: Out Now!

With this update, the Nordic Horizons DLC is now a required dependency for ProMods Europe. This allows us to properly integrate refreshed Scandinavian areas, avoid duplication, and ensure consistency between DLC and ProMods content moving forward..

This update represents another big step in modernising ProMods Europe; aligning older regions with newer standards, integrating official DLCs, and expanding the map in ways that feel natural and connected.

The trailer only scratches the surface there’s much more included in the update than what we’ve highlighted here, so why not download now: https://promods.net/
